Energy Development
Sanacorp’s focus in the energy and mining sector assess opportunities in Renewable Energy, prospecting, thermal energy, and commercial structures, smart-grid and off-grid technologies, as well as improving energy efficiency in the East African region.
Limited access to energy is a major deterrent to improved productivity, and thus Sanacorp seeks to expand the energy base through unique and innovative energy development programs. Power generation via solar, wind, hydro and wave technology are areas in which Sanacorp seeks to effectively improve the acquisition to electricity.
Finding partners for various specific energy and minig projects is critical to the success of expanding new initiatives in the East Africa region. We currently work with various foreign entities which have joined forces with local counterparts on joint venture prospecting, mining concession development as well as alternative energy development through solar projects.
We also work on numerous projects related to climate change initiatives via Clean Develompent Mechanisms (CDM), Carbon Financing, forestry offsets, agricultural offsets and carbon trading.
Areas in which we also provide assistance is in the development of Economic and Cost/Benefit feasibility studies on energy projects, reviews of various international carbon permits and assessments of carbon offset projects and programs.
